Depuis les années 1990, l'identité migratoire du Maghreb se modifie et se complexifie. A sa fonction traditionnelle d'espace d'émigration s'ajoutent désormais celle d'espace d'immigration et, emboîtée à celle-ci, la fonction de terre de transit vers l'Europe.
