Ethical Frames and Globalized Production of Norms
This introduction questions in an unorthodox way the actual imposition of ethics and its effects on numerous and increasing topics which can be found in ethnographical and anthropological works. Adopting a perspective of political epistemology, we analyze the new condition of the anthropologist, confronted to globalization processes requiring permanent ethical exorcisms and a commitment to rase the moral standard of the study of social, economical and political fields. Finally, we consider the construction of a communication frame based on the exteriority of the anthropologist whose presence should not be naturalized, neither normalized. But to the contrary, to legitimize this « anomaly » in the course of the actors.
